Guest play and browser storage
You can play without creating a game account. Guest progress, completed-level results, move histories, an unfinished puzzle, an optional nickname, tutorial progress and your sound, vibration and motion preferences are stored in your browser. Clearing site data, private browsing or using another browser, device or domain can remove or separate that save.
Website delivery and account services also receive connection information needed to operate the service. Guest play does not mean that no network requests occur.
Account sign-in and cloud progress
If you sign in with Google or Apple, Firebase Authentication processes the identity information supplied by your provider, such as your account identifier and any name or email address provided. Apple may provide a private relay address when you choose Hide My Email. Google and Apple handle their own sign-in screens. If you choose email sign-up, your email and password are submitted directly through Firebase Authentication; passwords are not stored with game progress or published in the leaderboard. Firebase may remember your sign-in where browser storage permits. Email accounts can request verification messages and password reset emails.
Our game service stores your account identifier, progress, preferences, game histories and best results using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. This lets you continue with the same connected account. Signing in separately with different providers does not automatically combine accounts. You can sign in to your existing account and explicitly agree to link the other provider, which associates the identities and information they supply with one player account.
Optional public leaderboard
Joining the leaderboard is optional. A published profile can show your chosen nickname, public player ID, rank, points, completed levels and stars. Your provider email and internal authentication identifier are not included in the public leaderboard response.
Scores are checked against game rules and move histories. These checks do not establish that a human played. Reports store the reported public player ID, the selected reason and time. Hiding a player stores that preference for your account. There is no player chat or direct-messaging feature.
Sharing and clipboard
Achievement cards are generated on your device. Share, Save and Copy actions can copy a caption containing #SugarAndCoGames when clipboard access is available. You choose the destination and whether to publish. The receiving social service handles the final post and may require you to paste the caption.
Why we use information
We use game information to save and restore progress, validate scores, provide optional public rankings, manage reports and hidden-player preferences, answer support requests, prevent abuse and operate the website securely. We do not sell your game-account information.
Service providers and international processing
Bluehost delivers the website. Google Firebase provides authentication, cloud storage and the game API infrastructure. These services process connection and operational information as part of delivery, authentication, security and reliability. The game API and selected game database are configured in Mumbai, India; other provider operations may involve other locations.
If you email us, your message and contact details are processed by our email service and used to handle your request. Service providers have their own privacy information. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or legal rights.
Advertising and analytics
The current browser game does not display advertising, use an analytics tracking integration, offer purchases or process payments. The website includes an AdSense publisher-verification tag and an ads.txt publisher record; these do not themselves load advertisements.
Before advertising or analytics is activated, we will update the relevant notices and controls to describe the services used and obtain consent where required. Advertising approval does not itself change your game settings or create an account.
How long records remain
Cloud progress, profiles, scores and related records remain until you remove them through the available controls or they are removed for an operational or legal reason. The game currently has no automatic deletion based solely on account inactivity. Support correspondence is kept as needed to address the request, follow-up and applicable obligations.
Game-only deletion keeps your shared login and a small game-state record that prevents an old device restoring deleted progress. Entire-account deletion removes the publisher account and active game records. Temporary security records, infrastructure logs and backups can follow separate provider deletion processes; deletion from active game records is not a promise of immediate removal from every operational system.
Your choices and requests
Use Your games and Delete your data to download available game data, remove Sugar Sort cloud data or delete the entire publisher account. A guest reset affects this browser only. A game-only deletion retains the shared login; an entire publisher-account deletion is broader. Neither deletes your underlying Google or Apple account.
You can contact us about access, correction, deletion, an objection or another privacy right available under the law that applies to you. We may need to verify your identity to protect the account. The built-in export covers available game data; contact us if your request concerns additional account or support information.
Parents, guardians and young players
The current browser game has no chat, direct messages, advertising or purchases. Public nicknames and achievement sharing are optional. Do not put a child’s real name, contact details or other identifying information in a nickname or shared card.
We do not currently offer a verified parental-consent or parent-linked account service. A parent or guardian with a concern about a child’s information should contact us so we can investigate and handle an appropriate access or deletion request. Provider age rules and applicable permission requirements still apply.
Security and changes
We use account access checks and game-rule validation to help protect game records. No website can promise absolute security. Keep control of your provider account and avoid including passwords or security codes in support messages.
We may update this notice as features change. The date above identifies this version. Material changes affecting information use will be explained through an appropriate notice or control.
